Jesus Sanchez-Pardo-Echevarria, MPhil Student

Following the completion of his bachelor degree at the University of Edinburgh (BSc Biological Sciences with Honours in Development, Regeneration & Stem Cells), Jesus joined the Sinha Lab to read for an MPhil in Stem Cell Biology.     

Under the supervision of Dr Deeti Shetty and graduate student Franklin Lo, he will study the contribution of endothelial cells and adventitial fibroblasts to the development of familial thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs). For this purpose, he will use  iPSC-derived models of patients suffering from diseases such as Marfan syndrome (MFS) and Loeys Dietz syndrome (LDS). In his spare time, Jesus enjoys cycling and visiting new places.
